Accounts Payable Specialist
Artthaus, Inc., is a growing full-service design, construction and project Management Company based in San Francisco. We specialize in the design of high-end, custom residential projects, and is in the beginning phases of several large multifamily and mixed-use projects. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible to administer in full cycle Accounts Payable process and assist the project accounting process and special financial projects. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s abilities, talents and experience.
Requirements

Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent in Accounts Payable job experience.

Two to three years of project accounting experience in a Design Firm, Construction Company, or similar industry

Excellent references from previous employers.

Must have excellent knowledge in QuickBooks

Ideally will have project accounting and cost accounting for residential new construction and major remodeling projects.

Medium to advanced level of Excel skills.

Must be familiar with Lien process.

Proficient in Windows, other Microsoft Office suite software: Word, Outlook etc.

Must be able to work independently.

Must be detail oriented and organized.

Must be able to work on many different projects at one time.

Must have strong communication skills.

This position is based in our San Francisco office. However, the employee must be willing to travel to our Oakland office as needed.
Responsabilities

Accurate AP Invoice Entry.

Produce accurate AP Aging & Payable Reports.

Monitor Accounts on daily basis. Work closely with Accounting Manager & Project Manager and Staff Accountant with any accounts payable issues.

Monitor company credit cards reconciliations on weekly basis. Making sure each transaction is booked to the right project on timely basis.

Monitor project vendor & subcontractor process. Perform accounting for each project including the Prelien & Lien Release process & AP.

Review vendor statements and make as needed detailed inquiries in a professional manner.

Maintain existing paperless accounting files.

Produce weekly reports for executives as requested.

Provide excellent accounting service to Accounting, Design & Project Management Departments. Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.

Assist with monthly/quarterly/yearly closing process. Support accounting team to meet deadlines.

Other ad-hoc projects assigned by Accounting Manager.
